Our Story

Pediatric Therapy Solutions was created on the belief that children learn best within their natural environments. We provide therapy services in the home, daycare, or school setting. We believe that all children have hidden potential and we specialize in identifying and unlocking that potential.

 

Sarah Brager, M.S. OTR/L
Owner/Occupational Therapist

Sarah Brager is a licensed occupational therapist who is passionate about working with children of all abilities. She began her career working in pediatric out patient clinics. She has used those experiences to create Pediatric Therapy Solutions and now provides services in the child's natural environment. She believes that therapy is most effective when strategies are tailored to each family’s specific needs. Sarah is dedicated to working with children to gain independence and confidence while making therapy fun and meaningful. She believes in an evidence-based, multidisciplinary team approach with collaboration between family members, caregivers, teachers, doctors, and therapy team to help each child reach their goals. 

She has experience working with children with Autism, sensory processing difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delays. She has been an Early Intervention Evaluator and Specialist in Illinois since 2008, which is a program that focuses on the treatment and development of children birth to three.

Sarah completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and completed her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

 
 

Dana Giancarlo, M.S. OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Dana Giancarlo received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Rush University. She is a licensed occupational therapist who values working with children and their families to facilitate independence while promoting a supportive environment and a more inclusive world.

She has worked as a school-based practitioner prior to working at Pediatric Therapy Solutions. Dana has experience in early childhood education through transition (22 years old), working with children and young adults with Autism, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delay, sensory processing, emotional disabilities and executive functioning delays. She implements evidence based practice and developmentally appropriate and engaging care. Dana believes in meeting a child where they’re at functionally and working collaboratively with families, school teams, physicians, other stakeholders, and most importantly the child in order to maximize their potential. Dana has interest in the impact of interoception on regulation as well as trauma-informed care.

 
 

Taylor Allen, MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Taylor Allen is a board-certified occupational therapist with experience working with the pediatric and adolescent populations. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2018 and her master's degree in occupational therapy at North Central College in 2021.

Taylor has experience with the pediatric population in various settings such as home, school and outpatient clinic. She loves all aspects of pediatric occupational therapy but emphasizes a child-led and strengths-based approach with a focus on forming meaningful relationships with her kiddos, families, and support team to foster a safe learning environment and to provide relationship-centered care. Taylor has completed continuing education and gained certification in specialties such as interoception and body awareness skills, supporting self-regulation in young children, feeding, eating, and mealtime challenges, and executive functioning identification.

While not at work, Taylor enjoys going for long walks along Lake Shore Drive and the Chicago parks, trying new restaurants and cafes in the city, cooking, and volunteering at PAWS animal shelter.  

 
 

Dr. Bianca Roe, OTD, OTR/L, RDN, LDN, CLC
Occupational Therapist, Registered Dietitian,
& Lactation Counselor

Bianca Roe is a dynamic pediatric clinician blending her expertise as an occupational therapist, registered dietitian, and lactation counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. She specializes in pediatric feeding disorders, tube feedings, food allergies, neurological conditions, and a wide range of motor deficits. She believes in empowering parents with the lens of a therapist to help them best facilitate their child's growth and development.

Bianca graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. Her early career as a dietitian involved extensive interdisciplinary collaboration on complex cases, where she discovered her passion for feeding therapy. This inspired her transition to occupational therapy, earning her doctorate from Northern Arizona University. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, she is especially committed to supporting new parents with infant feeding.

A dedicated educator and mentor, Bianca has served as a fieldwork educator for students from Rush University, UIC, and St. Louis University OT programs. She has also delivered numerous presentations and workshops for parents, caregivers, and professionals on topics related to pediatric feeding and nutrition.

Outside her professional life, Bianca is a mom to an adventurous toddler, a cafe enthusiast, and a passionate baker who enjoys crafting sourdough and decorating intricate sugar cookies.
